Who the Heck is This DJ Dude?

Full disclosure: I. Love. The. 80s. Always have. I realize it’s 2025 and no longer wear MC Hammer pants and rock a mullet while rockin’ out to “You Can’t Touch This”. BUT, the music is like nostalgic crack. Every generation has their playlist. For Generation X, it’s Billboard’s Hot 100 from the Totally 80s.

YES, I proudly rocked a mullet…while rockin’ a mic on the FM dial back in the day. Decades later, with less hair and fewer radio mics to rock, I’ve landed on the internets to work out my ‘separation issues’ with a medium I still love: radio. If she still gave half a damn, we wouldn’t be sharing this touching After School Special moment. (Apologies. You just want to get your radio groove on.)

Oh, I’ve got the manners of Mr. T with a hangnail. Hi, I’m Jeff Scott, the RadioDJ Dude. I started spinning 45s on Top 40 radio when I was using Clearasil. In the late 80s, I jumped on TV to host a music video countdown show. Oh yeah, pastel suits with big shoulder pads filled the screen. Life after the mullet, I became a TV producer in Los Angeles. BUT, stayed on the air for almost 30 years. Thankfully, those memories are as powerful as the wardrobe in Miami Vice!

Totally RAD Radio!

While traditional radio has been devoured by corporate overlords, today the only spot to do it like the good ol’ days is on the WWW. I’d love for you to sample my little passion-driven hobby.XXX80s Radio Station-80s MusicWhat makes XXX80s.com different, in my jaded-opinion, is the infusion of FUN into the playlist. Most online stations run like soul-less jukeboxes. No ghosts with iPods here! Real DJs, Fun listener phone calls, cool jingles and all 80s music, all the time, baby!

Blame it on the rain or Jessie’s girl. Girls just wanna drink red, red wine and have fun! To everyone who’s part of the musical Day-Glo fabric of the 80s, you are still totally awesome! I dare you, take a listen.
